The Hotel Das Tigra is a friendly, family-run 4 star hotel which offers a very central location on a quiet street in the heart of Vienna, only a few minutes’ walk away from St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

The spacious and modern rooms and suites of the hotel are equipped with all amenities and welcome you with a pleasant ambience.

Famous Viennese sights such as the State Opera, the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Burg Theatre and the Graben, Kohlmarkt and Kärntner Strasse shopping streets can be easily reached in short walks. The Herrengasse underground station (U3 line) is only a 3-minute walk from the hotel. In the morning you can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet with many typically Viennese delights.

The hotel has great history. In 1773 Mozart and his father lived in a small apartment in the historical part of the hotel building, which dates from the 16th century, when they were invited to perform in front of the Empress Maria Theresia at Schönbrunn Palace. At the façade to the left of the hotel entrance you can see a memorial plaque commemorating Mozart’s first stay in Vienna.
